I messed up early on. It was a valuable lesson. I have them today but don't use them. They are too convenient.

I do not have any credit cards. I do not believe in them. Figured I could save and pay cash or I should not have it.

So so. For years I paid off the full amounts every month, so I kept my "interest-free" status, and got the convenience of a credit card and not having to carry around cash. Then I went on vacation and spent more money than I had, so since that first month of not paying off the full amount, I get charged 18% interest on everything. That bites, and it makes it hard to pay off. I've never missed a minimum payment, and my card certainly isn't maxed out, but it has built up over the years and it will take me awhile to pay it all off...
