Most artists are miserable drunks if you didn't notice.
To me science is the highest thing a person can do- besides putting their life on the line for others, I want to leave a very good career to pursue science- any kid can make a picture with finger paints and think its good, science is a higher calling and much more interesting.
People tend to think of science as less creative.

You're reading Why do people say that art-related careers are fulfilling while math and science are limiting and boring? Neuroscience shows that people can enjoy anything, and that people thinking that art is a "higher form" is just a cultural bias with big influence.

Being exceptional at anything - math or art - is stressful. Those who push the edges of the human conception of reality, be it through art, science or yoga...will feel alienation. Then they will find whiskey.
