I am a senior in high school. If I were forced to do my notebook in a certain fixed way, I would be furious. It is my notebook; they are my notes! However, earlier in my life, I was forced to create a notebook based upon the teacher's vision of the class. This sometimes included pictures and annotation of every little detail. Although I completely resented the requirement at the time, I am now able to appreciate it. The little details such as being forced to maintain a spiral or notebook to a teacher's demands cause good habits to be developed at a young age. These habits will stick with you and help you be a more successful and organized person later on in your life.

I hated having notebooks that were graded based on how they were organized. I was never really organized on my own, but I really preferred to be allowed to organize it my way.

No, I despise that......

Yea that reminds me exactly of my french teacher, it really gets on my nerves. I just wanna do it my own way.

I didn't like it, but I didn't like school in general! However, I never felt it was that hard to follow directions and do it the way they wanted so that I could get some easy points toward my grade. It just wasn't that big of a deal.

IF the organization pattern is easy to follow, and is an easy help to your grade, then sure. If it is incredibly stupid and takes up too much time, and downgraded severely for minor details, than I would resent it. I like to organize it in my own way, which usually is not as organized as a teacher of certain types would like it...

I'd rather the teacher just not look at the notebook. I'm very disorganized at school, but organized when I don't have assignments... (i.e. my classic video games)
