  • I beleive a proportion of it. I know that statistics can be twisted, but at the same time, I reckon they probably get it into the ballpark area. In regard to other stuff, I think they omit news rather than lie about the news. Omissions can leave the reader with the particular viewpoint, which is where you could almost call some journalism propaganda. Opinion and letters pages always catch my eye, and are intesting. In our city, we have one very dominant newspaper, but everyone knows which way it leans, and who owns it, and reads it anyway. The non-dominant newspapers add a good viewpoint, but you can only fit so much reading into each day.
  • It depends what newspaper but I am skeptical about anything I see/read/hear in the media. It's mostly skewed.
