Yes, an electrical engineering degree allows many different possiblities - from software / embedded system design, to energy conversion, from radar design to plasma physics, ...industrial controls, facility design, motors, inverters, lasers (government, medical, research), X-ray equipment (government, security, medical, research)... there's a lot you can do with an electrical engineering degree. You'll probably find your way on the path through school.
