Yep just another day to have people spend their hard earned money needlessly and those who are under pressure to be ina relationship to feel part of it can be more depressed. Mr Bill

It excludes people without partners...OUCH!!!!
-
no, but I think it is overrated
-
I won't call it "stupid", but I would just say that it does not make any sense to me. It never did.

People should love and appreciate everyday, so yeah.

it doesnt mean anything to me : )

i am trying to get "singles awareness day" as a substitute holiday.i even made a card.
-
No but I think it's overblown and can make people without a partner feel left out and sad.

It is legitimate. I think the whole thing can be idealistic gas though (especially young people’s relationships...*gag)...it makes me cringe to see people buy over-stuffed teddy bears for one stupid (there’s the word now) day. It's really a waste of money; A big exuberant way of praising "sun-shine, feel good drag" sentimentality and consumerist “I love my baby” sensationalism. There isn’t anything wrong with giving gifts or celebrating some time with your hubby or doing something from the heart (not emptying your wallet, for lack of a better phrase). Let’s not over Romance orient and commercialize this though please. On a morbid note, don't forget people have died on this day. Oh...and massacres, don't forget the massacres. Vital part of the mobster history.

Anything that helps with a little more love, has got to be good. But all of the Hype sure takes something away.

I do think its a day of remembering the other and bring that back to mind. I think its cool. I also think that it is not just for couples but to also center on those you love. Mom and I exchanged Valentines also.
