I think some good quality time with him, and maybe dinner together. A massage would be good for him...but he should be giving that to you. Hmm...I don't know, find out what he's been wanting to buy that's withing your budget and see if you can get it for him:P

- Thanks. See you always here about the guy taking the girl out to dinner, or him decorating everything with rose petals or something, but I want to do that for him. I'm just not sure he would enjoy me decorating and putting flowers everywhere. Do guys like that kind of thing to? Even if they won't admit it?

- I can't speak for the entire male race, but I don't think rose petals specifically. If there's a trail of petals leading to, say, the bedroom, that would work. But no, most of us (I believe) don't go around saying "Ooh, flowers!" or whatnot. (I personally can't stand the smell of flowers.)

I was nervous the first time I did one of these but he really loved it and best of all it's inexpensive to do. You can give him a massage, facial, manicure, the key is to keep it masculine by not using any heavily sweet fragranced products. Truthfully, with guys, it's the thought that counts. Chocolate is always a big hit, and you'll know it won't be disliked (unless it's white chocolate, which me and the boyfriend both hate). But I hate buying chocolate for my valentine, because it feels a little impersonal. Really, (but this could be just because it suits my personality) buy something unusual and spontaniuous that he won't even have had for valentine's day before.

If you know him well, you'll know what sort of things he'd like, but to me, traditional is a bit boring nowadays. Smellies and aftershaves are alright, but that's what we usually get given at christmas and birthdays. Tell you what, if worst comes to worst, organise a meal of his favourite choice. I'd be dead chuffed.

Haha, I bought my valentine an 'ugly doll'. Strange eh? I can't even describe it. Imagine a flattened blue cat with six legs and large stitching at the seams. :)

Love, to know that some one loves you is the best gift i have received. Truly loves you just by looking into there eyes as you hold them close to you and knowing that you want to spend all your time with them and them with you what else can you ask for... well a kiss is nice and the words I LOVE YOU are nice.

The thing about most guys is that a gift is a gift. It doesn't have to be romantic or anything, it just has to be something he would like. Try a video game he wants, or a cd, or a book, o whatever he is in to. For example, my best friends girl is going to give him a few new disc golf discs cause that is what he is in to. Let him be romantic, you should be practical. (of course I can't speak for every guy). Of course you could also do something sexy for him, but that I can;t give you any advice on because that has to do with your and his preferences.

on valentines day its always nice to spend the entire day in relaxed loving embraces and perpetual loving bliss with the partner. material things distract from the people involved romantically and they can tend to take away from the human element in the relationship. I prefer a good day over receiving things to add to the landfill any day. but your guy might be different so buy him a watch or a new suit coat or some red underwear you want to see him in. either way have fun.

Really it's the thought that counts; if you buy them chocolates in a heart shaped box or something, that's certainly fine most of the time (as long as you know they like chocolates! hehe), though some might argue that buying stereotyped 'heart' gifts isn't really putting much thought into it... *shrugs* I'm sure they'll appreciate the gift, the chocolate, and of course the company ; )

It depends on what type of guy your bf is.
You can get him:

Nice sentimental card
Mixed CD
Make him homemade cookies
Chocolate covered strawberrys

or if you are OF AGE and want to do something sexy:
