Well people by nature tend to react in different ways in stressful positions and one of those ways is to just shove it all down inside. Given that thought it's very unhealthy and can lead to other side affects such as mentall illness, physical illness and many other health problems. However pending on the person different people the ability to deal with more amounts of stress, if your partner is a laid back kind of guy then yeah chances are he'll be fine, but if he's one of those people that are always uptight and in a rush I would consider going to a therapist, and if he's unwilling to do that there are many simple things you can do to help balance out your life, they sound dumb but two of the most commonly reccomended treatment for stress and depression are, excercise and a good healthy wholesome diet. I know it sounds odd but almost any good psychologist would reccomend it. and feel free to research any other little techniques as well. Hope I helped ^_^ (*sorry for the lenghthy answer*)
