  • There is always hope for humanity, so long as someone will ask the question and others are willing to answer.
  • Yes there is, God. However it is up to you to accept him in your life or not.
  • Yes there is. See Children of Men. Great film that addresses this subject.
  • a nuclear war or astroid maybe
  • Yes. If we go back 30 years ago - many of us were worried about the West and East going into a global war - nucleur weapons .... I worry maybe a fundamentalist group might let off a few nucleur bombs, but overall that situation is much better now. I do not fear an all out nucleur war so much. Then we had the hole in the ozone layer. Countries of the world united to fix that problem and its improving... Now I worry about global warming. This is a much more likely threat. It seems to be accelerating. If we all work together, we can reduce its impact. There is always hope. The problem with this is that it affects the next generation more than the current and the generation after that more then the next. It could easily result in the end of civilisation. Im sure it will result in many millions of deaths maybe billions unless we act fast. Most likely it will be between those two numbers. I have hope that we will all improve. America did not sign the Kyoto agreement - for that Bush will go down in history as one of the most guilty leaders.... Without America acting - the Chinese wont act ... and with out those two - the world is doomed. But I have hope becuase so many parts of America. However, most of the rest of America is waking up and thats what gives me hope. Many states, Cities etc. are taking action on their own. People always worry about something but the problem with global warming is that it is a continuous build up. It was slow and now accelerating. Economics will prevent people form acting rather than common sense. The nucleur threat was all or nothing. Easy to undo. To step back from the brink. Global warming - a lot of damage has been done. You cant just stop it like that. So I have hope an great concerns for the next 100 years. I hope my hope will not be ill founded.
  • yes its all in our hands to act it...
  • There will be an end no matter what we do. But what we must do is not inflict the cause of the end ourselves. We must do everything we can NOW to make life as easy and as long as possible for the many generations to come. It was here for us, ... what gives us the right to shorten it for those that follow. It is also our resposibility to right the wrong doings of our ancestors.
