For those of you who work or who have had experience in the medical field: How do you react when something unprofessional happens?

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. You'll find yourself fighting for unemployment benefits if you don't have that type of mentality.

We are going to see many, many instances that are unprofessional just like any other field. The way I react depends on if it involves unethical practice or harm to a patient - these behaviors are to be reported. There are always day to day minor behaviors that are unprofessional - examples: talking in the wrong tone of voice, chewing gum, etc. The right thing to do is to talk to the person that is being unprofessional - go to the person first. Noone is a "super medical field professional" - so you have to use good common sense and don't make a mountain out of mole hill.
