  • Yes...I was 12....it wasn't bad at all....but I was really young which made it easier on the dentist and me.
  • um, i never got wisdom teeth, never will. dumb evolution
  • Having them was causing other problems. So on day I went to get them out. The dentist was quite brutal in his process. Novocain on each side... wait 5 minutes... clamp face in one hand, jam pliers into mouth with other.. twist, twist, yank... Ok, other side.. twist, wrench, twist, yank.. stuff cotton ball in each hole...now bite... There, all done, see the woman at the desk for your paperwork. . but later, yeah, much better. :)
  • Yes, I was 16 and was laid out for 2 weeks!! All 4 teeth were "impacted" so I had to see a dental surgeon for the procedure and not a denist. They had to remove my jaw and put it back just to get the teeth out. Ughhhhh gives me the willies to even think about that. It was tough because I couldnt open my mouth more than a centimeter for a few weeks and my cheeks looked like I had baseballs stuffed in each one!!! I remember it being painful but the tonsils were much worse. I had those out at 23 and wasnt a kid anymore, in your teens you bounce back. After that, you're a little slower to recover even though I was still a kid at 23 LOL. The recovery time is much longer.
  • O.O!!! BAD EXPERIENCE, I could feel the tear of my root canal break!! UGH!!
  • i had to get 3 out all at the same time. i was supposed to get put out, but they had forgotten to tell me i couldn't eat with the anesthesia, so i had to reschedule or get it done only with novacaine. i had one that bothered me so bad i just did it. it wasn't so bad. getting the novacaine shot was the worst part. :)
  • My friend did and she said it was hell!!
  • I have wisdom teeth but I dont have to have them out. My best friend told me that she had hers out, and they had to stitch the holes back up. She said that was really the worst pain ever.
  • It wasn't bad at all. They gave me Valium and Vicodin, I had no cares in the world.
  • Mind this was 28 yrs ago yet it was still a very bad experience. The Dentist told I just knock you out and when you wake up you will be done, Ya right I had 3 wisdom teeth, all were growing back under my other teeth, mind you I have large teeth and a small mouth and at 12yrs old had 4 permanent teeth pulled just to help make room. When I woke up I thought someone had broken my jaw, my hubby said I had 2 black eyes already forming and rest of face looked like someone used it for a punching bag, really swollen etc. He gave me NO pain pills just said use ice and aspirin and come back in a week to see him To this day I am unable to open my jaw the say way as before having teeth pulled, almost feel he may have broken or fracture it.
  • wisdom teeth are gone. two were rotten and the dentist had to use a shovel and pick to get them out. it was not fun. it is part of the reason why i HATE dentists.
  • I was a junior in high school. The dentist told me to bring my cd player so while I was in surgery I would have something to listen to so the drilling wouldn't distract me. The gas was pretty awesome stuff too!! haha Overall, it was a positive experience. Nothing horrible happened.
  • Yes and it was easy breezy. But I've heard quite a variety of post wisdom teeth stories. I guess it depends on the positioning and size of your teeth and how difficult they are to remove.
