Fact from fiction, truth from diction, I can say I like what I have now. She has a brain, an opinions, but bottom line she knows there has to be a leader and a captain, and she allows that to be me. The Starship Enterprise would have been blown into pizza toppings many times over if Captain James T. Kirk had to take time out of battle to have a consensus at to if they should run, raise shields or fire the phasers. I don't run roughshod over my fiancee that is why she trust what decisions I make is in the best interest for both of us, not just me. And I don't hog all the choices just because she lets me. We have balance because you have to have chiefs and you have to have Indians. Too much or one or the other and you have no tribe.

I _love_ American women. I've dated a lot of them. The only better women in the world are British. They're awesome because they'll actually TALK to guys. The worst and snobbiest women are Canadian, with the exception of ladies from Montreal who are awesome. They're just as friendly as the Americans and Brits.

Sorry, I think you have been brainwashed by the far left feminist establishment. If, according to your logic, if a women is agreeable and likes men, then she is 'subservient'. I have met incredibly feminine women who make me feel very masculine, but definitely have their own opinions. What American women fail to see is that men and women can disagree, even about fundamental issues and still have a good relationship. The Koreans used to have a custom that I think is very important--that even married men and women need to keep a respectful distance from each other. You can pretend that men are supposed to understand everything and that you could really understand men's natures, but this is largely untrue. US feminists need to keep the illusion alive that men are evil monsters out to control women. Did you even consider that they need to paint married and content women as subservient to keep you buying books and paying for seminars?

Women want equality in some things but not in others. They still want guys to pay, , they still want guys to approach and make the moves, they just want to pick and choose theyre equality and not have full equality, especially when it comes to things they don't want to do.

well, my wife wanted equality in all decision making, to spend all the money she said I did not need to earn, and no responsibility to anything. she demanded respect but brought nothing to the table. granted not all american women are like that but I believe the high divorce rate in america is based on a culture of uncooperation. I believe in a treditional marriage the man is the head of the household and has final say... that said the happiness of his wife MUST be his first priority after the safety and financial stability of the household. I want a woman who has and expresses her opinions and even has the intelligence to argue with me and win when I am wrong. if his goal is not to make her life pleasant then she needs to do that herself which means submission is no longer the way to go. even some modern femenists recognise the value and power of being the treditional wife when the husband behaves likewise. a treditional wife will try getting her way with honey... many modern american women seem to want to use vinigar regardless of wether their mate treats her well.

Many or even most American women have never been taught to fight their natures the way men have been. Men are taught from early ages to control their natural tendencies to aggression, and the good ones learn to curb their tendency toward promiscuity. Women are told that if it's feminine, it's good, and encouraged to let their feelings rule them instead of ruling their feelings. So, for example, they will fight like wildcats to get sole custody of their children after a divorce, and then let their boyfriends move in with them even though a boyfriend is ONE HUNDRED TIMES as likely to hurt their chilren as their natural father is. Many even look the other way when the boyfriend molests their children!

Oh wow. I am not a man but I am going to answer this to the best of my knowledge. I don't think a man want a woman who doesn't have any opinions about things. That makes it too easy for him. He can easily do things without her opinion even when she really wants to voice her opinion.

I like women who like equality in relationships and I don't think it makes dating difficult, but I hate women who think they are all that like the ugly Christian women in my city.

I just read all the answers and well I peed my pants laughing, choked on my snack - twice - and I don't know what to say - 2 ex's 3 beautiful Girls. Dating sucks recently. Anyway I believe in equality, and no one person should be able to 'make the final say' in any relationship, Jesus H. What planet is that nitwit on? I do however still act as a gentleman and do all those things and yes always pay as well. The difficulty in dating is I have just attracted every female lunatic in Manhattan lately, probably just a timing thing you know. Dear God, no. What am I, a fundaMENTAList freak? It's always better to have a partner. HOWEVER!!!! This means as a partner, she's got to be ready to give up certain niceties, like having the man pay for everything. House expenditures and all overhead are split 50/50. This doesn't mean I don't buy her gifts for birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. On the contrary. Helping to pay for half ensures I get her nicer stuff on those occasions.

i'm not saying the way you guys do it is wrong. but with chivalry... why shouldnt a woman hold the door open, or pull out the seat, buy gift, etc? same principal, either you want equality or you dont.
