Our PS2 plays some PS2 disks but not others. I've exhausted Sony's troubleshooting documentation; what else can I try?

  I just baught a new ps2 slimeline (my one of 6 years broke) and Final Fantasy XII, but as soon as it loads the playstation 2 logo, the disk starts skipping, and nothing loads! How can I fix this?

  My playstation 2 will not load one of my games, it takes me to the browser screen, and starts reading disk,then when i click the disk it loads my memory card infrmation then goes black ,agin and starts reading the disk. what can i do?
