  • What do you mean Bump them ,answer them yourself? No I have never done that. I have answered old questions of mine by mistake when they have come around again .
  • You can bump them yourself by answering them or adding more information to your question. You could ask a friend to answer it.
  • dunno... nevr tried... peace!!!
  • 1) There are some strategies to do this, but most of them are considered bad practice, because it gives your question an unfair advantage. 2) The easiest way is to answer your own question. This will often be considered unfair, although there are certainly cases where it is justified: http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2937368 3) Some users would ask another question to point at their question, like: "Why did nobody answer my question about the three body problem?". In this case, it would be better also to provide the link: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/422962 (now, you can also provide a working link as reference) However, this is often not very well seen. Theoretically, it could also be rejected as a duplicate. 4) Another possibility is to point at your question inside an answer or a comment. If you do this in an answer, it would be better if there were some relation to the answered question. (If you notice, I just used this strategy inside this very answer.) If you do this in a comment, a relation to the answer is not always necessary. It could just be part of the communication taking place in a comment thread, which sometimes does not have anything to do with the original answer or question. 5) If you are eager to get an answer to a specific question, you could ask this question again. But be careful: asking exactly the same question will be rejected by the system. And if you ask a very similar question, it will probably be rejected as a duplicate from the original question. It could bring some new answers, but some users could also notice this and not appreciate your insistence. 6) As a conclusion, there are some tricks, but it would be better not to use them too often, and only for the questions for which you really want to get an answer. Consider also that some questions are particularly difficult or uninteresting for other users to research. So they might never get an answer. Notice also that some of your questions, or part of them, could *already* have been answered. Look for similar questions in Answerbag. There are various interesting search features. 7) Sometimes, some people will particularly be interested by the kind of questions that you are asking and have regularly a look at your new questions. This can also be done using the "friends" feature. Personally, I don't do this too much because I think that every good question should get a chance.
