That cake one does it for me. In fact, any saying that refers to food pisses me off.

"A picture's worth a thousand words." Being a "writer" I can see why this would annoy me. "Good things come to he who waits." Probably because I'm not known for my patience. "A friend in need is a friend indeed." Because the way it's said always confuses people of it's meaning.

I would be sad if there was cake and I couldn't eat it. The original and only sensible version of this saying is “You can’t eat your cake and have it too,” meaning that if you eat your cake you won’t have it any more. People get confused because we use the expression “have some cake” to mean “eat some cake,” and they therefore misunderstand what “have” means in this expression.
