  • My dog also had the same problem a few years ago and my vet recomended to change his food to Lamb and Rice Kibble, it took about a week to clear but he has had no problems since. She also gave me a medicated shampoo but just at the moment I can not recal the name of it sorry.
  • Save the money and get your dog off of commercial dog food. Feed it a natural diet of raw food, mostly meaty bones. Dogs are not designed to digest grains, gluten, and all those carbs. They need bones and meat, like wild dogs and wolves. Most all their allergies can be traced to grains and some veggies. Here are some links about natural dog diets. http://www.njboxers.com/faqs.htm http://www.barfworld.com/html/barf_diet/barfdiet_specific.shtml http://www.volhard.com/holistic/artbywv.htm
  • The best way to save your dog from allergies is to feed it fresh diet either raw or cooked, through my experience ill advise to start of with cooked food...because dogs that were fed dry food become easily sick if transfered over to raw diet right away..it takes time to addjust..because raw food is harder to digest... Is good to feed dog with allergies certain types of vitamins..A,C,E,vitamin Bcomplex, flax seed oil or evening primrose oil, very good is salmon oil for dogs... in your dogs case home-made elimination diets are very good to get rid of the allergy.. my friends dogs suffered from allergies like yours..and only eating [250grams boiled or baked lamb..or other meat, pinch of salt and 4cups of boiled rice for 8 weeks everyday...
