I had an out of body experience once in a group therapy session where I comforted myself as a child. It was weird, I could actually feel myself hugging myself as a child as if I were hugging my son.

*googles it* http://neurology.health-cares.net/hypnagogic-hallucination.php Yes, I can't stand those. I used to have them a lot as a child, and they would always scare me. I would be walking and then I would fall and be jolted awake. They used to make me panic and cry as a child. +5

Almost every night before I fall completely asleep. They're annoying.

I get them really intense. I see demonic things that are trying to hurt me, feel pressure on my body, feel like I can't breathe, can't move a thing or say anything, and panic. Sometimes I feel like I'm being molested. This is actually where the whole idea of an incubus comes from. I don't get as scared from that anymore.. I'm so used to it I just try to enjoy it. Pretty weird. I usually feel like I'm floating out of my body and when I get really scared, I jerk my body really hard, and wake up feeling like I just fell a couple feet.

Yes, I am narcoleptic and it is very common in people who have narcolepsy. My hypnogogic hallucinations may involve hearing, vision, touch, or movement. the hallucinations are often related to the I am in environment and transferred into the dream-like images. The hallucinations are frequently vivid, bizarre, and can be frightening.
