$250 when i was about 17.Shared a flat with some dudes and they all bailed out one by one.My mother insisted on paying it in the vain hope that i wouldnt get a bad name.I have had a phobia with bills ever since.These days i dont worry about it to much as i try to make sure everything is prepaid.best way to stay out of debt is not to create any. : )

My boyfriend was over a thousand in debt to his phone company (crazy ex girlfriend calling long distance). He didnt pay it for months and months, ignored the letters, eventually they took 500 off the original price and he borrowed the money from his parents lol. I wouldnt go that route though

it was over a thousand American dollars. I eventually paid it with the help of the person who was responsible.
