  • Before I answer this with an obvious answer... Why do you want to take the case off? If you answer "why to solder on more ram, of course!" or "to install a modchip!" then you should find someone who doesn't need an answer to this question to have them mod the box for you. either that or you need to talk to your parents/guardians about modding your xbox. If you answer "cause i want to paint it, and i dont want to mess up the metal parts" then: There should be several screws on the underside of the xbox (it's safe to flip it over, but be careful) removing them should allow the removal of the plastic bits, for application of paint. i recomend krylon fusion (bonds very well to plastic). if you asked this because you're a kid, get an adult to buy the paint for you (you have to be 18 in some places), then get them to help you apply the paint... (it'll look better)
  • The points by "originalmouse" are good, but the quick answer: The screws are located underneath the rubber feet, with two located under the bottom sticker (feel for them, you can feel the hole through the sticker). Definite warranty voider, though - and watch out for the exposed parts on the power supply, even if it is not plugged in! You are working with potentially dangerous voltages here, so be careful.
