It's quite hard to give advise without really knowing your circumstances. Assuming you live in the UK from the given time, the current job climate isn't really one where you can be picky; I don't particularly like my job but I have no real choice at the moment as it's better than unemployment. If you have no real finacial or social commitements, save for a few months then chuck your job in and travel, see the world. If however you do, stick out your job and maybe study for qualifications in a different profession so you can make yourself more marketable in the future. All else fails, play the lottery and hope. Works for me :p

I hope you have been looking for other work, if you have felt this way from the beginning. Meanwhile, there must be something about the job you like, otherwise, I can't believe you'd have taken it to start with, even if you "needed the money". Concentrate on that aspect, even if it IS just the money and benefits (if there are any). I would guess the GP will either suggest an anti-depressant, or tell you to find another job.
