  • If you must drink soda, change it to diet soda. If you really can't stay away from junk food, try to use less caloric/fat substitues like rice cakes or popcorn. Read the labels of everything you eat and drink. Make better choices than you do right now. Make sure you keep protein in your diet. Drink at least 8 glasses of water or more a day. Add an extra 30 minutes of fast walking to your usual routine daily. If you drink coffee and use sugar and cream, try to drink it without cream; use low fat milk or nothing at all and change the sugar to splenda. It all boils down to this; you have to burn more calories than your body requires to stay at the weight you are now to lose weight. Sounds easy, but it's really not as easy as it seems, LOL.
