  • The authorities told me I could'nt give you points. But I like to break the rules +5
  • The only way to escape is to move up a level. Asking for more points to help you move up faster is considered bad manners on AB. Just remove the last 3 letters and consider yourself an 'author' of good questions and answers.
  • These "labels" don't really mean anything. Neither do the points. People that use them as a source of power are just ego-tripping...especially the down-raters. It's all a "game" thought up by the people who made up this site. As far as not liking authority figures, there are a lot of us that share the same opinion. In fact, the point system being used here is actually based on an "Authority Figure" type of system. Not only the points, but giving answers. If you have a job or are going to get one be prepared to kiss ass to an authority figure if you want to keep your job. Be prepared to kiss ass to a cop if you don't want to get beat up or go to jail. I can give you other examples and they are from my own experiences. (yes I was beaten up by a cop). This site is a just a game of labels, and you've fallen into the game. Quit trying to suck up for points.
  • Have U considered rebeling against yourself.
  • Hmm let me see if I can help you.
  • You'll just be tossed into another label that the "authorities" say you should be. I'll help this once, but you might have to twist my arm if you ask again. ;D
  • *LOL* what a subtle way of getting points! Btw - I hate the label "brain" - can you help me get out of that one?
  • "Noun authority (countable and uncountable; plural authorities) 1. (uncountable) The power to enforce rules or give orders. 2. (used in singular or plural form) Persons in command; specifically, government. 3. (countable) A person accepted as a source of reliable information on a subject. Quotations 1930 September 18, Albert Einstein, as quoted in Albert Einstein: Creator and Rebel (1988) by Banesh Hoffman To punish me for my contempt of authority, Fate has made me an authority myself." Source and further information: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/authority We use authority only in the 3rd meaning of the word here. You cannot enforce rules and give orders. Or be in command. Just be a reliable source of information. I like the way Einstein's quote illustrates this!
