In England it actually AGAINST THE LAW for someone who has missed 5 years of high school due to neglect to go back to school into year 7?What would happen to the school who took that person into year 7?

    In America especially in NYC if you miss school they send out a truant officer to get your ass back in..Whether neglect or otherwise your not getting away with it...England should send out their cops to find out where the hell are the kids, that should never happen..

    This wouldn't happen. It's illegal to miss school ue to neglect. The pupil would not be punished now but the parents. You wouldn't "go into" year 7. You'd do your GCSE's at college instead and progress from there. Plus it's free if you've never gained a pass in any subject at NVQ 1/GCSE.

    I'm not sure I'm understanding you correctly but if you should have been in year 7 five years ago, and are just entering it now, the main problem would probably be that you would have a hard time socializing with a younger age group and they may tease you.

    I'm not sure how the system works in England but I would be quite surprised if a school would allow this to even happen. Usually, where I live, there are adult classes you can take to get an equivalency of high school.
