What is the appeal of b.b. king? seriously. he's a one-note guitar player, a miserable singer, and so fat he can't even stand up onstage... i don't get it.

Many years ago, I used to travel on the M25 and M4 on a Friday afternoon. There was always very heavy traffic at the junction which joined those two motorways. Normally, I would sit on the sliproad for a good half hour, without moving, before I could actually get on to the M4. On one occasion, it took my 5 hours to do a journey which was only 129 miles long. Anyway - when I listened to BB King, i did not get stressed, anxious, or in any way frazzled by the traffic. So I keep a BB KIng CD in the car now, just in case of traffic jams.

most blues artists cant sing all that well, its more of the story they are telling. as for the one note, there is really only one blues riff, its in a key of b. if you listen to chuck berry, elvis, little richard...they all use it. so i guess he isnt the only one with no talent.

One-note guitar player does not mean that you cannot play guitar. He can play guitar: " Rolling Stone magazine named him the third-greatest guitarist of "the 100 greatest guitarists of all time"." Miserable singer is just your opinion. It seems that a lot of other people (among them important music critics) have other views - and I may also add my humble opinion. I find it wonderful that he can still come and play on stage, even with this. He is 84 now, consider this.
