  • Cause they're bored with their current one?
  • Probably just to keep things interesting. Some people like constant change. Some choose an avatar and then later either get bored with it or decide they don't like it. I tried changing mine a couple of times, but I just didn't find anything I liked any better than the smiling face I was using so I switched back.
  • Because they don’t know what they really are. Edit: Multiple personality syndrome.
  • I know you might as well be talking about me here, schitzo avatar-master that I am. And I can tell you exactly why I do it, in a severe twist of irony, I change my avatar obbsessively because I don't want to be defined by an image. I want to be defined by what I say, not by what I choose to represent myself as, I just use my avatar to display things that I find interesting at the moment, and I change it again when I become too synonymous with that one. I think that if you're going to be on here as much as I am, you must be defined by your actions, not your avatar or your name, you must have the dignity and grace to be free from things as petty as that, and actualy be a person, rather than just an image and a name.
  • Maybe they wanna be cool in putting something different than the rest of us? What about my avatar? lol its me of course, so that will do. Good enough for me. And at least all you people know what I look like, lol blurry but better than no avatar :P
  • I do it quite often, because I like change! Images have a powerful influence on the way you are perceived. The avatar can say a lot about you, even if none of it is true. It's interesting. I personally like the personalities who are more chameleonlike.
  • i change mine due to my mood swings..like this drawn polka-dotty bag design..im keeping this one for now..i switch pics because iam searching for the one avatar that screams "anoleus!" so far, i havent found it..still searching, still compiling...
  • Just for variety, I imagine. I like identifying people by their avatars, (it's easier for us old folks), but, some of the changes HAVE been for the better.
