  • I wouldn't do it. I had my water bill in a very good friend's name and when she got mad at me, she just turned off my water. I also put a car in an ex-boyfriend's name for cheaper car insurance, and he took off with it when he left me. I had no legal standing to get it back. You don't want to put yourself in a position where you need to keep somebody in your life because of what they are doing for you or because of what they could do "to you".
  • 1. It's insurance fraud and a felony. 2. If you transfer the title, the car legally becomes your friend's car. Overall, not a good move.
