Yes, it feels like your skin is ripping... because your skin is ripping! It passes, though, and you'll survive.

No, it doesn't feel like your skin is ripping. It feels like it is "dragging" across your skin. It's not that serious. It hurts most, where the skin is the thinnest.

Ha, no it does not feel like your skin is ripping. I have a tattoo on my ankle, and the only part that hurt was when the artist got close to the achillies (sp?) tendon. It kind of feels like a bee sting, or someone tapping you with a push pin... after a while, you become numb and you dont feel a thing.

To me it felt like the needle was being dragged across my skin and the pain didn't last very long at all. The tattoo felt like a small patch of sunburn afterwards though. They do heal very quickly if you use the correct products and keep them clean.

i had one on the bottom of my back and i always describe it as feeling like somet=one is dragging a knife across your skin really slowly. i.e. yes it hurts!

No, it definitly does not feel like your skin is ripping.. I just had one at the beginning of year and it wasnt that bad. Pain just depends on the person and what all you can tolerate. And I have about 13 tats..

That's probably something you heard from someone who has absolutely no pain tolerance. The outline is a little bit more intense, but I would hardly ever classify it as painful in the least. Everyone is different. If you listen to what everyone is saying and hear their own experiences, especially from those that are a bit on the wimpy side, sure you're going to get scared. Just go in with no preconceptions and just do it...don't sit and think about it. You'll be fine !
