I just saw the movie Taken. Would you let your 17 year old daughter go with a 19 year old girlfriend to Paris? (by the way, the movie was excellent)

I think I would have, yes. They were both excellent students who'd never been in any major trouble, and if they had an opportunity like that I'd want them to take advantage of it. Who knows when you'll get another chance?

No, she wasn't mature enough to travel abroad when she was 17.

Possibly. Only thing is, I wouldn't have been able to afford the trip on my own. If they won the trip as a prize, I could have given them some spending money.

i saw the movie, thought it was a fairly predictable plotline but excellently executed and prouced anyhoo, im 19 and would have been allowed to travel around Europe when i was 17, or now with a 17 year old friend. not having children, i cant answer honestly but i probably would let them, life's an adventure and people only regret what they didn't do, not what they did. i think you could die just crossing the road outside your house so you may as well live the life you have if that makes any sense...
