Help answer this question below.

I just got a car with a stereo already in it and the wire from the amp to the sub is like 24ga is that ok?

    12 - 14 gauge is the common sizes for connecting subs. 24 seems a bit on the small side. it will work, but i would upgrade. speaker wire is cheap. maybe $10 for acouple feet of good 12 gauge wiring.

    IT DEPENDS ON THE WATTS IF YOUR AMP IS OVER 400 WATTS
    THEN YOU NEED 4GA
