If you know he's the father why would you put him through that? Let him be a father.

I consider myself a feminist, and in my opinion that means equality for one and all. Frankly, it is a bit shocking to hear how many females here think that they can have a child and not tell the male who impregnated them anything. How irresponsible to not have ANY regard for another person. How inconsiderate to use someones genes and not give them any options. I do advocate fathers rights. It is little recognized that men have no, or little rights in the matter of non-married paternity; much less in matters of custody. If you don't tell the father, then all I can say is don't expect his help when you ask for it down the line.
