It's been happening in the UK for almost the last decade. Let's face it, the move away from 'home-based' service centres was simply a cost-cutting measure. I've no doubt companies will move these places abroad, and many companies have yet to spend to bring such centres back to the UK.

ITS ABOUT TIME... All we'll have to do now ....For English press 1

I had already seen the trend. Hopefully Verizon will get on board too. I'm really sick of dealing with their foreign call center.

Same is happening in the UK too

What a great idea! I've been so frustrated by some problems. It sure would be nice to talk to someone that understands or can help. But I sure hope that more companies would do the same and make sure that the people here know what to do as well.

Our company pulled ours back over a year ago just for better control and accuracy. The accents weren't a problem, but we weren't getting our money's worth for the service.
