The US image is manufactured, edited, and promoted by the news media. The US people are a product of many different cultures, histories, and ideologies. They are quite different from the US image.

A lot of people view American's as selfish, ignorant of foreign activities, and full of themselves. The truth is, a lot of Americans ARE like that. But, there are also a lot of us who realize this, and therefore do not contribute to the problem. I don't think America is the greatest country in the world. I don't blindly support what our government says/does. I have my own opinions, and I don't think I'm better than anyone else.
