  • Because they're stupid. I don't get it either, Raff.
  • They want their 15 minutes of fame... according to the prophecy.
  • Because they could not get on Jerry Springer.
  • Because it's not their real business anyhow. They spin the scenarios up just to get on television.
  • Unfortunately, we live in an age where a lot of folks will do and say ANYTHING, for a chance to be on t.v., and maybe be "discovered". I would be embarrassed beyond shame, if the world new I had slept with "aunt Ida", gotten her pregnant, become a father to my cousin, then married my "step-mother", (which caused my father to have a heart attack, where, in the hospital, he met and married a 19 year old candy-striper, who he then gave the trailer-house to in his will), beating me out of my inheritance!
  • as Einstein said some people dont deserve to have a brain...
  • Well people just like getting the attention from the media. They just crave that attention some much that they think other people will make a big difference in their lives. For instance D.R. Phil.
  • I believe the participants don't have to pay for court costs and the judgment. Could be a $ thing.
  • Obviously they want the attention, but both parties really truly believe that they are right, so maybe they want to see the other side humiliated on national tv? Also, if I'm not mistaken, I think they get paid a small sum for their appearance. Not sure tho. You couldn't pay me enough to be on there, lol.
  • On some (if not all) of the shows, judgments are awarded from a show fund. If you read the small print during the credits, they used to (and probably still do) show the amount. I think People's Court with Judge Wapner had a fund of $4,000!
  • They get their dammages paid, it is all about money.
