I believe that one reason is that the millia are caused by an over rich face cream, or at least one that is too rich for you skin. You can try to exfoliate to aid in their removal, certainly don't squeeze them. Also perhaps change to a lighter moisturiser or perhaps not even one at night to give your skin a break.

Use a face wash with salicylic acid on the area with moderate to mild ex foliation daily, also be sure to avoid creams/lotions that enhance any kind of collagen production, as these can aggravate them and make them more noticeable.

Find a good blemish control, or pore refining cleanser and use an exfoliating glove, or facial loofa. Neutragena has some good quality cleansers that are reasonably priced and sold in most main stream drug stores. After cleansing, use a toner and non-oil moisturizer. Follow this regime once in the morning and once before bedtime.
