It's got to be the length of the reply, even though I'm under the character limit. I just split a reply into to parts and it posted just fine. What's up with that?

It is doing the same on slow comment posting for me as well , it might just be a glitch and I'm sure the staff is working on it .

it might be your internet connection

I don't know why but mine often does the very same thing and it's not because I have too much words, most of the time I am just saying ''thank you''....I don't know what the problem could be.

I would say the length of the reply..except I have seen some REALLY lengthy replies. So I would have to say it has to be that the internet site gets bogged down. When you write your reply 'copy' it before you submit..that way if the site is slow,,you won't lose it. I got that one from the AB guy : )

It seems any time you pass the mid point of characters allowed in a comment, you run the risk of it not posting. It's best to break a long comment in two; it's also a good idea to copy it before attempting to post.

I've found that it will allow comments down to about 300 characters left and sometimes a little less. I try to stay above the 300 mark, and sometimes it takes me 2 or three comments to get my point accross...such is life, it's not like we are paying for the site, so we can't bitch too much.
