No, infinity is only represented as a loop, its a visual aid so we can get our minds round the idea of something going on never ending. But it would be fun to sneak up on yourself!

Countless lost hunters, hickers, survivors of a plane crash will walk for miles and find theselves right back to where they started from. Everyone should know how to read a map, using a compass. People disappear in Alaska average 60 per yr. A hunter shot his carabu placed his rifle against it carcuss. no trail or blood trail never to be seen again.

Probably, but the road is so long I'd probably not remember myself each time. There in lies the infiniteness of infinity.

no your thinking of a paradox or a perpetual existence infinity is time infinity is space 2nd answer: The next statement is false. The previous statement is true. time<infinity<space is between these statements (if you thing of this the right way this does not just disprove my first answer but in gives insight into the after life)

This is a really great question! max points One thing I that you are doing, perhaps without your being aware of it, is that you are conflating the idea of infinity, which is an abstract idea, with something physical in our Universe. As an abstract idea, infinity doesn't require the lines to cross again. Think of an abstract, flat, 3-dimensional, Euclidean (how many adjectives can I add here? ;-) ) space. Imagine the X, Y, and Z axis extending to infinity. There is no reason they have to cross. As for our Universe: The known Universe is not infinite, from the evidence we have today. It's damn big, but not infinite. You spoke of curved space in one comment to an answer, and yes, the Universe is very slightly curved, but this curvature does not require that lines at some distance ever cross. Think of a 3 year old child sitting on a trampoline and barely causing a distortion in the flat fabric. There isn't sufficient curvature to cause it to ball up into a sphere, say, or other "closed topology". But there are still a lot of open questions, I believe; there certainly are in my mind.

Infinity is a concept, a symbol. Not a thing.
