  • Do you think Bush failed? Did it cause the US to fail? Rush is delusional though. He wants Democrats to see that Obama is not a savior. If Obama fails, he's going to blame it on Bush. "I was too late. Bush messed things up too bad." Actually, Obama wouldn't be saying it- Democrats would be. Either way, the majority of them will not turn on their hero. That's my guess.
  • I wonder if Mr. Limbaugh explores his own faults as meticulously as he finds faults in others.
  • No.He wants the idea of Collectivism to fail.http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_012209/content/01125108.guest.html
  • Do you really care what an oxycontin addict has to say about things?...;-D... . . http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/rushsearch1.html . .
  • I'm not Mr. Obama's supporter, but I'm way far from wishing such a thing for him or anyone else. It really doesn't make any sense. As you pointed out, yes, that would be akin to desire worse for U.S. I did listen to that guy only once, but once did suffice not to listen anything he has to say ever again.
  • He needs to blow more hot air so his shrinking fan base can feel good about being cose minded.
  • He doesn't want Democrat ideals to do better than Republican ideals. Yes, I'm sure he would prefer for Obama to fail if it makes Rush look better. Rush doesn't care about the rest of it, and will still be rich either way. It is a feather in his cap if Obama fails.
  • It's hard to see how, in these especially tough times, Obama's failure could be anything but5 even more hardship for the US. Failure to resolve Bush's wars means more tragic war. Failure to correct the economy means a depth of economic strife world wide that's hard to imagine. Failure to improve the US's image means further erosion into irrelevancy. What else could he be saying? So I think yes. +5
  • No, exactly the opposite. Rush Limbaugh wants the best for the U.S. Obama's agenda is bad for the U.S., hence he hopes it fails. So do I, if Obama succeeds in implementing his agenda the damage will likely not be repairable. Socialism had never worked anywhere it has been tried, yet Obama wants to take us over that cliff.
  • Not necessarily, it just means that he wouldn't especially mind the U.S. taking a major blow if it meant discrediting the "Liberal" politics he seems to loathe so much. And ironically enough, this is coming from the same man who once said, "Patriotism is rallying behind the country, regardless of party affiliation". Or maybe that only applies when we're trying to "Defeat Islamo-Fascism", who knows?
  • Yes! That's exactly what he wants. He would love it if the US Govt fails. He wants to get rid of govt and have everything ran by corporations. Can you blame him? Just look how good the business executives ran the banks. Capitalism will never fail because Socialism will always be there to bail it out...
  • You must not have been listening to that show, because what he said is I hope obama's policies fail, Not obama himself. Actually he said I hope obama does good, but not his policies!! Do you really think that he wants the U.S. to fail?
  • Holding party loyalty over what is best for the country, as Limbaugh does, is one of the reasons that the US is in this terrible fix. We can only pray that President Obama can pull us out of this tailspin that the previous president created.
