Do you have any tips for someone just learning how to iron clothes?

Don't burn yourself and take your time, make sure the iron is on the right setting depending upon the material ;0)

Don't do it on the carpeted floor. Totally melts the carpet fibers and destroys it, and then you'll lose part of your security deposit.

if you iron a shirt with graphics on it, turn it inside out to iron it so you don't burn the graphics.

I can't Iron.I refuse to iron,I just suck at ironing. My tip I throw whatever I am wearing in the drier for about 10 min.put them on quickly. :o)

When you are ironing a shirt with a collar, do the collar first, it supposed to make it easier.

If you hang the shirt up while you take a hot shower, it'll take most of the wrinkles out. Vacuuming used to be my least favorite chore. Now, I will totally vacuum in exchange for not having to iron.

Yes, know your iron and its settings and how to use it. Also know what material you are ironing. Can you use steam on it or not. If you use steam on the wrong fabric, it will scorch it and leave a mark.
