Sounds like the power savings feature is enabled. I've never come across a hardware or software error message that says that. I'm assuming that this does this only if you don't use any keyboard or mouse action at boot, so when you first get the windows main screen come up, right click a blank spot on the screen, select properties if this is Win XP. Under properties select screen saver tab, then power options button. In power options, go to power schemes tab and in the drop down menu, make sure Home/Office is selected. Below that you see the power schemes available to you. Select what time periods you'd like for each event. They range from 1 minute to never. Click apply and you're done.
