i was raised in a church, or a series of churches rather, and for many years i believed that going to church and saying i was Christian and occasionally praying meant that i was Christian. it wasn't until i stopped going to church, decided to follow God's plan for my life, and started to try to serve others that i really became Christian.

I just did it because the other person did it. Turns out it was bulls**t to begin with.

I went to church as a kid but didn't really have a right view of Christ. It wasn't their fault, I was a kid and didn't listen. After questioning my faith a lot I ended up reading two books that made perfect sense to me and solidified my belief in the Christian God and Jesus as the Messiah. The books were Mere Christianity by CS Lewis, and More than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell, both of which were atheists who became believers later in life. As my faith developed I began to understand that morality is not the goal of Christianity, but communion with and reliance on the living God. It was only after this discovery and the support and strength of the church, that God has done amazing works in me with fighting and conquering sin in my life. I am not perfect (or even close), but the strength of God has delivered me from sin I never imagined I'd be free of. Have a great day!

I was born into a Christian sect. I officially became a member of the sect with my baptism at 8. I became Christian when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

well i was born into a wonderful God loving family. But i haven't always felt the same. But now that i'm older, i know how amazing the one true God is! his name is JEsus!! and he's awesome! i became one. when i followed his word. it says in Acts chapter 2: 38 how to go to heaven. here are the steps.. 1: believe and love him 2: repent which means to tell God you're sorry and TRUELY mean it. and change.. for the better. you'll feel sooooo much better 3: Get baptized in JESUS NAME not the name of the father and the son and the holy ghost but in Jesus name. because the name of the father son and holy ghost IS Jesus. he's 1. and 4 : recieve the gift of the holy ghost in evidence of speaking in tounges. which cannot be taught. Only God can give you that gift. 5: live a holy life. it'll be hard but God'll never let you down.. i promise.. :)

and you might want to find a United Pentecostal Church near you! it'll make your relationship with JEsus so much stronger....=)

they're about the truth. not the flaky give you what u want to hear churches. they tell you how to really get to heaven. and they're very welcoming. and loving. it's Gods church. they're awesome.

I was born into Christianity and cannot remember a time without God in my life...I don't know how other people do it but it is wonderful to hear people share their stories. I made my formal confirmation when I was fifteen.
