  • My gyn has always done a rectovaginal exam (finger in vagina and a finger in rectum) perfectly normal but a bit uncomfortable. The dr then just feels around while pressing on the abdomen as for the bimannual exam. It is an exam that checks ovaries and uterus from a different position as compared to the bimannual exam.

  • He always does. He checks my breasts, vagina and other reproductive organs and he finishes it off with a digital rectal exam where he inserts one finger into my rectum for a few seconds. For me it's the most embarrassing part of the pelvic, but it's over before I know it.
