Its only in the past 2 years that he referenced this as being 'perfect' because i was with another guy for that time and he was envious. Secondly, if she actually was a 6ft blonde, why does that make her better looking than anyone else?

I think the question is, do you think you deserve a guy like that? He sounds shallow to me and if he can't love you for the person you are and how you look, or at least show you the respect you deserve, then he isn't worth your time. If he really cared about you, do you think he would make comments like that? Comments that try to make you feel ugly or not up to his standards? Stop wasting your time with this loser and find someone else; let this guy chase these "perfect" women and move on.

me. he hasnt had a gf for 5 years either and so i think thats made him even more insecure thinking that if he loses me then he might have less chance of finding someone else even more so that he is over 30. Thats wat im assuming anyway by the things he says i guess, and the most obvious way to bring me down is in the looks department- i'll never be a 6ft blonde (which all guys apparently think is perfect) therefore nobody else will have me, and also my uni- 'guys get intimidated by smart successful girls' he says they don't want anyone like that. But for some reason I am very stupid when it comes to relationships and seem to be attracted to the ones that do want to bring me down to their level. And i seem to like to 'help' the ones that are insecure, almost like it gives me purpose. but it seems to bring me down. I am addicted to finding ppl that make me feel bad! maybe addicted to the adrenaline. anyway you have made me realise that no man should be saying those things to a woman. and that i (hopefully) will find someone who doesnt make me feel inferior to other women of certain images.
