  • they were both good in they're diffent ways, if i had to choose i would say the romans because of the longevity of the building and the architexture involved in it.
  • After some considerable thought, i would have to say that from an architectural engineering standpoint, the romans had a greater understanding of the technological resources available to them. for instance the romans invented concrete. the coloseum had an elaborate plumbing network underneath the floor that would allow for it to be flooded so that recreations of sea battles could be acted out for the crowd. There were also animal cages and rooms and working elevators to move the animals and gladiators so that they would seem to appear as if the came out of the ground.Other noteable roman architecture are Hadrians Wall in Britannia,The Circus, the Pantheon, the Aquaduct, the roads of rome. To be fair to the Egyptions though,to compare the two based on the technological and engineering complexity incorperated into the buildings would be like comparing cars built today with cars built 50 years ago. Egyptians built the pyramids 2500 years(give or take a couple centuries)before the romans really started to make a name for themselves. With this in mind, if one was to base their answer on their accomplishments with the technology available to them at the time.I would have to lean towards the Egyptians.
  • Just check out the pyramids. The egyptians were better.
  • The Romans, they even had water and central heating systems Egyptians were great but that was in designing Monuments to the dead and it was all hard work and slave labour I cannot think of too much else that is still standing that the Egyptians built. The Romans have many vast buildings still standing, Roads too
  • the romans were better a copying and doing sp quickly the eygtions were skilled mathmertitions
  • Its all a matter of opinion, pyramids V aqueducts. However, I think this one goes to the Romans.
  • IMHO the Romans
  • the romans. rome is still here, where are the egyptian cities?
  • Egyptians. The constructs of Egypt in many parts are still standing 4,500 years after they were built (such as The Red Pyramid). The Temple complex at Karnak date from at least 3,000 years. The Romans didn't build anything as large in terms of scale and it hasn't lasted anywhere near as long. The most famous The Colosseum is less than 2, 000 years old and has serious structural damage. The Forum was starting to fall apart by the 8th century less than 1, 000 years after it was built. Basically the Egyptians were building monuments that are still largely still intact (or completely in some cases) before the Romans had even chased the Etruscan kings out of the city. The Romans were great engineers but they used a great many Greek ideas who themselves were hugely influenced by the Egyptians.
