  • Is depriving a substantial minority a key right morally acceptable?
  • Of course.
  • Are you gay? If not, why does it matter to you? Why not live and let live?
  • Absolutely. Attempting to deprive others of their civil rights by citing archaic religious codes of behavior is immoral.
  • is it right to you? theres your answer. because morality is not, and never should be, a democracy, decided by a group of people with narrow minds
  • Everyone should have the option to get married or not. There isn't anything in the Bible against gay relationships. Think differently? Message me and I will discuss it with you logically and calmly.
  • I believe so.
  • if your into marriage then yes...I'm gay and don't believe in marriage, leave it for the christians I say...
  • Easier I suppose than asking everyone to state their indivisual morality in list form??? Everyone is different morally. There are no rules set in stone for everyone. In some cases, going against one kind of morality is moral for some. The point of this question is moot.
  • It depends on your morals, but try not to let your morals impeach on what someone else believes! : )
  • No one person or organization should deprive a human being for marrying their one true love.
  • No it is not. Marriage is a union (a sacred union in my humble opinion) between a man and a woman. Allowing two men or two women to imitate that is a mockery of that blessed institution. The homosexual agenda has been quite successfully pushed on Americans in recent years. They've painted the homosexual lifestyle as all smiles and rainbows when that is FAR from the truth. Homosexual intercourse is a dark, dangerous, and outright unhealthy practice. The average lifespan of a practicing homosexual male is 43 years! So no I don't believe that it's right to encourage this by allowing them to marry.
  • no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!no.no.no.no.no.no.no.no.no!No!no!NOO!no!NO!NO!NO!NO!NONONONOONONOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! NOPE! sorry, well NOt really. it is not acceptable.
  • Why wouldn't it be ? YES; it is morally acceptable . To deprive a Homosexual person / couple from being married ; is to deprive them of their Civil Liberities ... they should STOP paying Taxes if the Constitution does not apply to their EQUALITY also ... +5
  • That depends on your religion. In the old and new testament it is considered a sin, therefore immoral according to the bible. It is morally acceptable to me, but I'm not a "person of the book". I consider something immoral when it causes pain or suffering (in life) to those involved in the deed. Homosexual marriage does not cause pain and suffering to the people who are getting married, in fact they are quite happy about it, otherwise they would not get married.
  • Morally acceptable? I seem to recall a time when it wasn't considered morally acceptable for a black person to marry a white person. The question here should be 'Why can't people mind their own business and not force their individual moralistic values on everyone else?" My grandmother always said, if everyone paid as much attention to their own business as they do everyone else's, they would get a heck of a lot more accomplished.
  • marriage should be just a seven year contract! if you want to renew it you will work harder, why should anyone have the power to tell you who you can marry?that's like depriving people who are adopted can't get married because they might be marring their relative
  • "Morals" Now, there's a joke. We, our society has formed these "rules" on how to live our lives. What is "moral" to one person is immoral to another. Who gives a f*ck whether homos want to get married? I don't see the problem with that, and I'm straight. "Oh, but think of the children."... don't give me that BS. If they want to be gay, let them. They aren't martians or some creature we don't know about. They're just people with different physical attractions than the guys who go after girls or the girls who go after guys. Oh, and if you think that its wrong, hehe, well, buddy, you need to get a grip on life and accept it. These people are all over the place now. If you can't handle or attempt to understand homosexual people, you probably aren't mature enough to use the guns you threaten to kill them with.
  • I was asked to explain my reasoning in this matter. NO. Homosexuality is morally wrong. I will keep it as short as possible. First, I’m sure you’ve heard of many bible verses geared toward this topic in that it is not right. Therefore, I will limit God… matter of fact; I’ll take God out of the equation. Animals, who are less than us humans, know to reproduce with the opposite sex. Humans are the most intelligent living organisms and for humans to adopt something that is on such a non-natural level even animals, which are lower and much less intelligent than us (humans), do not attempt is a shame to all humanity. In fundamental nature, for someone to adopt the homosexual lifestyle it is as if they are saying that the human race is lesser than the animals. Secondly, the United States birth rate is roughly 1.7; no nation in the entire world throughout all history has ever survived if the birth rate held a constant less than 2.0 children per house hold. Two males cannot produce a child nor can two females. The homosexuality plays a role in the United States’ decline in birth rate. On the contrary, one may submit that immigrants will increase the birth rate, yet let this be submitted to your thoughts as well. If we, America, depend upon other nationalities, who do not give a hoot about America, to keep this nation moving then, historically so, the future of America will disastrous; in that this great nation will collapse. Historically so, when other nationalities (not born in that nation) fought in wars, they did not fight with a heart to win. The men in the Revolutionary War fought with a heart to win; these men gave their lives for our freedom. In retrospect, we, the people of America, need to do everything possible to keep this country going forward. Not just for America’s future, but your children’s future, and that the men’s lives that died in the Revolutionary War for our freedom will not be lost in vain. One of the best ways to prevent such disastrous events from occurring is to not allow the homosexuality lifestyle to become part of the culture.

  • I don't see why it wouldn't be.
  • It depends on your individual definition of "moral"
  • Homosexual marriage is just as acceptable to me as heterosexual marriage or interracial marriage. I don't have a problem with any of them. Don't like gay marriage? Don't have one.
  • Morally acceptable? I think it is morally imperative. How else will we challenge the concept that the few get to tell the whole how to live?
  • According to the Bible and the majority of the American people, homosexual marriage is not morally acceptable.
  • Marriage is a legal contract. Love has nothing to do with it. Atheists can get married as well as a barren couple, so religion and family have nothing to do with it. If two consenting adult want to have this contract drawn up then so be it. Gay couples initially tried other avenues of legal recognition but they were not enforced by the courts so non-marriage legal documents are WORTHLESS. We're talking about: *inheritance rights *medical rights And a variety of other legal rights associated with marriage. Why the obsession over genitals and gender? If a M marries a MTF or a F marries a FTM it's still legal in most states if the birth documents are changed. The only thing prevented the marriage is the ink configuration on the birth document.
  • Why not? They have the right to be as miserable as everyone else!
  • It does not exist. It is a contradiction in terms.
  • should be a comment.
  • It is to me.
  • Yes, two people making a commitment to each other is an admirable and brave thing no matter what sex they are.
  • Yes..:0)
  • I don't consider it morally acceptable. But I have the same feeling about MANY things that alot of other people have no problem with.
