  • Very good and I can thank my 5th grade teacher for that. We challenged the 6th grade class to a game of "math baseball" where you were thrown a math multiplication question to answer just as fast as you could. The pitcher "throws" a question to the batter. The person at bat answers before the catcher can, and gets it right (umpires were the teachers), then that person goes on to first base. The pitcher wants to "tag out" the person on first base by throwing a question at the runner there on base. If the first baseman can answer before the runner, the runner is out. You see how runners advance when someone at the plate gets a hit and moves them around. Well the 5th grade class that year beat the 6th grade class and we really thought we were something special! I still remember my "times" tables as a result of that game played more than 45 years ago!
  • Very well. Learnt up to 12 in Primary school and havent forgotten since. It sticks.
