I tell folks I like to visit my poorer friends when I feel I'm poor because it's like the homely girl who has all the ugly girlfriends: it makes me feel "pretty" (or better). There's nothing like seeing someone worse off than yourself to realize that maybe -- just maybe -- you ain't done so bad after all.
