That means that a Creationist Fundie made that up because he didn't know any other way to discredit science

it's pretty much impossible to prove something is absolutely true. the process of proving something to be true involves disproving all other possibilities. but since in many cases, there are infinite possibilities, so the best science can do is disprove many, and then make the assumption that the theory is right.
