I had the sweetest hamster in the world once. I got it from my neighbor's whose hammys had had a bunch of babies. I named "her" Heidi. But, over a few weeks, Heidi began to develop in ways I hadn't anticipated...and so became HOMER! He lived 4+ years and then I had to have him put to sleep because his kidneys were failing...the Vet said that was the longest she had ever known a Hamster to live...he was best friends with my bird, never ever bit anyone, and used to give me kisses. Other possible names: Manny, Fred, Goober, Hershall, Jet, Sam, Furbee Salsa, Tango, Cha Cha, Wilma, Mildred, Amber, Fawnie, Bitty, or BittyBop, and the list goes on and on.. I'd say study and watch your's and see if it doesn't have some sort of behavior that leans towards an interesting name...then too, unless you already know for sure what the gender is..you may get a surprise too! our mommy hammie peaches was named for her color and the daddy hammie i named bunny cuz he hopped out of my hand when i got him (ok he was just jumpy and landed on the floor). well i thought it was a cute name and that he was a girl but i found out otherwise as he got older, lol. the 2 babies that just died, my daughter had named frog, since they jumped too. my friend has a dusty, named for dustin hoffman. i had a teddy bear hammie i called teddy, a black bear i called bear, and a couple dozen other i just called "the hamsters".

hello, i had a male once and i named him peppino,and a female whom i named minnie.

jst use a simple name like hammy for instance (you dont have to stick with it) then after you have had your hamsters for a while and know their personalities you can rename them. thats what i did and mine is called oliver because when i let him out of his cage, hes allover the place LOL xxx hope this is helpful
