Absolutely. When my wife and I were dating I came to understand she was a unique human being. I learned to accept her the way she was, not the way I wanted her to be. She has grown(i.e., "changed") during the many years of our marriage and I continue to accept her as she is. And she accepts me (I've also changed). Because we can accept each other, and accept our own reactions to each other, we have grown in our love together. I wasn't able to say this about my past marriages.
