Yes I am, we didn't speak for a few yrs though as we grew apart but are now back in contact, though don't see eachother as often as we'd like because she lives at the opposite end of the country!

Well, I'd have to say yes. My mother was the first true friend that I had. As far as just friends, no because my first friend was in the first grade and I don't know what happen to her but I remember her well. I am still friends with many of my girlfriends from grammar school as well we high school. There's a boy also (now a man -- not romantic)-- we consider each other friends for life.

No, the very first friend was many years ago....we grew up and grew apart. Most recently a "true friend" betrayed me, and we haven't talked in over a year. After being betrayed I am very guarded....

My FIRST true friend... I guess before pre-school... I think I mt him when I was 2 and he was also. We still talk sometimes. Don't hang out, though.

I wish I was. I still love her like I did as a child. We moved away when I was a teen. We wrote for years, and then when she married, she just stopped writing and never started again. I guess she just got busy. But her only child is grown and gone now, so you'd think she'd at least email. I guess the conversation has been dropped for so long that its hard to pick up again. The ironic thing is that in the last few years she has become close friends with my step-grandmother. They go to the same church. So I hear about her from Gram every so often. I usually see her when I'm up there, at least for a little while. We always talk like we saw each other yesterday when we see each other. But we might not see each other for several years at a time, and that is a long time to go without hearing from someone you love.

I had a friend for 10 years she turned out to be a real backstabber and the most jealous person ever ,i thought i knew her but obviously i thought wrong ,i find it very hard to trust friends and my only true best friend is my sister.

Yes I am. We've drifted apart a few times over the years, but always manage to find each other again and re-kindle the friendship. I think this is why we have remained as friends for so long.

No. I moved when I was 5, so I lost all the friends I had from then, though I hardly remember them. When I moved, I made friends with 3 guys in kindergarten, and one of them is and always has been my best friend. It's been about 22 years.

Yes, I am This was my answer to another similar question - Yes, our mothers were neighbors and best friends in school and my friend and I were born 3 weeks apart. We pretty much grew up together. We were both in each others weddings and although we now live in different states, we still keep in contact.

Yes - I was about one yrs old and she was 2 and 1/2. We are the very best friends, even when we stop talking for months (because Life takes over) we can still get back to the exact same spot we left off on. I can count on her for anything. My confidant for my darkest secret and the one would give my a butt kicking when needed. The Saturday night Botles of wine when we were single. I wish for everyone to have a friend like this.

i don't think i considered her a "true" friend at first. But we met when we were in kindergarten. we went to the same pre-school for two years, then never went to the same school again. I am turning 25 this year, and we are still friends. In retrospect, I suppose a 22-year long friendship when we both have led different lives on different paths - that constitutes a true friend now.

No. We were best friends from Grade 1 to Grade 12. She went to a different school for the end of high school and we just kind of lost touch. Then we started hanging out again and I just realized that I didn't like who she was at all. I'm not sure if I changed, or she did but either way, any time I have seen her lately she annoys me!

No I was about 10 yrs old when we moved from Arkansas and I never have seen her again. I got a graduation picture and gift when we graduated. Never mailed or anything after that point. Think of her sometimes. invis +5

My first true friend I met in first grade and we were friends until we went to different high schools and met new friends. We grew apart because we developed different interests and eventually lost track of each other. I still think about her. My other true friends I met in high school and we still see each other.

Yes. WE are both caught up in our own family lives but we are still in touch via SMSes and emails and we make it a point to meet at least once during the vacations with our kids and go for a picnic.

Yes, thankfully. We have both moved far away from each other but have kept in contact throughout the years. The internet has allowed that contact to be more frequent.

Nope, we grew apart. One of my best friends now went to the same elementary school as I and we where on the same basketball team but we didn't become close until our sophomore year of high school. Weird how things work out.
